British Airways follows other European airlines instead of wider Club Europe seats

This is saddening news. Before British Airways was the only European airline (apart from TK, given that IST is on the European side – but isn’t Turkey half Asian?)  that had business class seats not totally identical to Economy class seats. Their business class seats were slightly wider on the A320s since the armrests were pushed together to make the two seats wider (as opposed to blocking the middle seat).

A good thing is that they now have improvements to Economy.

In the new Club Europe, a tray will block the middle seat, instead of the seat being wider.

Overall this was expected. However, it is a little disappointing that Business travellers are receiving generally the same comfort as Economy. Because of the adjustable headrests, making the seat wider is generally impossible, but it is still bad news for the European traveller.
