Review: Blingapore – Introduction

CX 739 HKG – SIN 333 W
The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore
Exploring Singapore
Terminal 1 Singapore Changi
CX 734 SIN – HKG 333 W

There’s really nothing I can put in trip report introductions, because 90% of the time I go to places for vacation. I don’t plan the trip either – however I do suggest taking types of airlines. Earlier I was attracted by Jetstar’s banner (what? I’m trying to work for you guys):

However, it turns out that on the days I wanted to go the fares were as high as HK$500, so it’s not really worth taking an LCC for that rate. 😕

After a few days of discussion (and looking at CX new economy pictures, SQ A380/777-200 economy pictures and the premium economy pictures) we decided the timing and comfort would be best in Cathay Pacific Premium Economy, at 200% economy price (but comparable to SQ economy price). However I have shared opinions about being guilty of not choosing Singapore Airlines, for a few reasons.

Choosing the best hotel was hard, and we settled on the Ritz-Carlton in Singapore. The Marina Bay Sands was a little pricey and had some slightly negative reviews, so we avoided that. Ritz Carlton is rated one of the top ten best hotels in Singapore based on TripAdvisor, so we stayed here.

We’d also explore Singapore.

Also, it was the first time (and probably only time, as I’ll probably be taking Singapore Airlines next time) I’d visit Singapore Changi Terminal 1, so I’d review that too.

Nowhere near as impressive as Terminal 3 :(, but still looks nice…

Our itinerary was:

17/04 CX 739 HKG – SIN 11:20 – 15:05 333 W
21/04 CX 734 SIN – HKG 16:05 – 20:00 333 W

Stay tuned!
