Thai Comfort’s new interiors

Thai’s new subsidiary Thai Comfort is releasing their new Economy and Business Class layouts, to be put on their all new 767s.

Their Economy class is really unique and looks suspiciously like Thai’s own mainline business class (not the one on the A380 or the 777-300ER):

To our surprise, it’s an angled lie flat seat, setting a new standard for Economy, and stretches across three cabins (the first picture is of the first cabin, the second picture is of the second cabin, the third picture is of the third cabin). The cabins have 14, 12, and 16 rows respectively, in a 2-2-2 layout (six abreast, one less than what most cabins have for Economy). The seats are 20 inches wide, one inch wider than Singapore Airlines Economy Class.

Their business class is much more comfortable, in terms of looks alone (they are designed to look exactly like their own Oasis First Class):

(For some reason they have decided to retain the old 767 bins from the airline they bought it from – Qantas.)

They are fitting 10 business class seats in the nose of the 767. While the 767 actually has a square front, they modified it so they could keep the crew rest bunks, which narrow down towards the fuselage (they link to the cockpit, and are below the windows – no wonder they get thicker as they reach closer to the “nose” of the 767).

The first Thai 767 will arrive on February 3rd, 2015 with this layout, and is said to run the BKK – SYD route.

Happy April Fool’s Day from Hong Kong Airline News!
