There have been many FlyerTalk threads and questions about your favourite aircraft. I personally love the Boeing 777-300ER, but here is a comparison between the Airbus A321, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus A380-800, Boeing 737-800NG, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 747-8, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8.
Only a few airlines have the A380, and only a few have the 787. That’s in stark contrast to many of the other airliners like the Airbus A330 or Boeing 747, and not many notice upgrades in each aircraft (for example, the 747-8). So a tie between the “two eights” – the A380 and the 787 – for this round.
Winner: Airbus A380 and Boeing 787
The first word that comes to mind at the word “Majesty” is “big”. And the Airbus A380 takes the prize for that, doesn’t it? However the other quad-engine liner (the Boeing 747) has huge boosters (engines) and a great long fuselage, as well as the homey first class nose, so I think the queen of the sky deserves a prize too.
Winner: Airbus A380 and Boeing 747 (both types)
The longest aircraft in the industry is the 747-8. However the runner up, within a metre, is the Airbus A340-600.
Winner: Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A340-600
I personally thought the 777-300ER had a steadier takeoff than the Airbus A380, but I have yet to try the also heavy 747-8. So the prize goes to the 777 for now.

I think, even the former with its not perfectly functional “electric” crystal shades, the Boeing 787 and the Boeing 737-800NG take this round.
Winner: Boeing 787 and Boeing 737-800NG
The quietest aircraft is the Boeing 767-300ER, but since this isn’t mentioned in our comparison list, I’ll take the A380-800 as a close second. (Or is it not?) I’ve taken it and I didn’t hear a sound upon takeoff (though I did upon landing, but who doesn’t?).
Winner: Airbus A380
I know this doesn’t really matter to the traveller, but the aircraft above with the longest range is the A380. The 777-200LR is not on the list.

I like the Boeing 777-300ER because of its flexibility and sleekness as well as steadiness and range (the 777-200LR is good but call me crazy if I say it’s a bit “off”), but the other aircraft are pretty good as well. Am I incorrect? Are there any other factors I missed? Comments?
